Jenny Leehey

Jenny Leehey

Jenny spent much of her formative years in the pool, until she finally quit and joined the track team during her senior year of high school. It was then that she discovered she was meant to be a multisport athlete. While at Georgetown University, Jenny was a founding member of the school's club triathlon team, and she competed at USAT Collegiate Nationals in 2007 and 2008. Since graduation, she has been training with the DC Triathlon Club, racing everything from 5ks to marathons and sprints to half iron distance triathlons.

So Savage

The end of my 2012 triathlon season

So Savage
I saved the longest and hardest for last: at the end of a season full of sprint and olympic distance races, I headed out to Deep Creek Lake, MD for my very first Savageman 70.0.

Heatpocalypse

sunflower fields in Kentucky
The past couple weeks have marked a record-breaking heat wave across large parts of the US, including the DC area. Unfortunately, I have been outside more in the past couple weeks than I ever would be normally between a week of bike touring and the USAT Mid-Atlantic Club Championships. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger? Maybe.

Starting at the Beginning
For my first race of the 2012 season, I traveled home to Tucson, AZ to see how I'd fare in a multisport race with no swim!
