Date of Birth/Location: October 4 (Ten-four, good buddy). I grew up in upstate NY, but moved south after college and have been in North Carolina since 2001.
Years Racing: I started running in 2007 after a third knee injury ended my soccer-playing days and eventually shifted my focus to triathlon in 2015.
Strengths on the course: Running was my first love and used to be my strength, but cycling is moving up to challenge for the top spot.
Goals for 2018: My ultimate goal is to qualify for Kona. Louisville 2018 will be my first WTC 140.6, so it is a long shot, but I am going to give it all I've got!
Height: 5’7” (though my legs suggest I should be 5'11" and my torso is more 5'3")
Favorite Race Moment: Finishing my first Iron-distance race in 2015. My goal was to finish under 11 hours and I crossed the line in 10:27. It's not often that you have a perfect day and beat your A goal by over half an hour!
Favorite Post-Race Food: Burgers and beer. Hydration is important :)
Favorite thing when not swimming, biking, or running: I love to travel! (Though these days, most of my trips are planned around swimming, biking, and running, so I am not sure if that answer counts!)
Favorite Food: I love all food so this one is tough, but I would have to go with pizza.
