Ryan Rivamonte is a student at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, as well as an avid multisport enthusiast. As a third-year dental student, Ryan sees patients in the clinic and also serves as the president of the Fit Club at school.
Ryan's multisport roots began as a BMX racer and a soccer player. In high school, when the cross-country team asked him to run a regional meet with them, he discovered his talent in running and then continued pushing himself to run farther and faster. At 16 years old, he ran his first marathon and completed a 100-mile mountain bike race. Since then, his major accomplishments include competing in the Boston marathon, the Ironman World Championships, finishing fourth at a North Face Endurance Challenge 50-mile run, and finishing third in the pro wave at Savage Race Ohio.
With the support of his friends, family, and school, Ryan continues to push himself as an avid athlete at an elite level. This year, he will continue to be an advocate for personal achievement and physical health at school and race in a medley of events.
